About

Sofia is a graphic designer and illustrator with more than 8 years of professional experience. Completely self-taught, she believes anyone can draw - even if they’ve never picked up a pen before.

Inspired by the vintage journals of early nature explorers, she wanted to capture her fascination with birds in the same raw and personal way. She builded a community of like-minded nature lovers on social media, collaborated with conservation and educational organizations, and co-created a video game about birds. Sofia sees drawing as a way to stay connected to nature and believes it should be easy and approachable for beginners.

Sofia has so far launched two online courses - Watercolor Bird Sketching and Nature Journaling - attended by hundreds of students worldwide. And her book Birds in Watercolour was published in 2026. She hopes more people can deepen their love for nature through sketching.
